The Best Family Friendly Beaches – Ibiza
There really is no better feeling than heading to the beach, on the first day of your holiday.
Dipping your toes into the cool waters, and taking in the warm Mediterranean sunshine, bliss!
Whether you’re an Ibiza veteran or it’s your first time here, there’s always new seaside spots to find and ‘waste’ the day away with your nearest and dearest.
In this blog we’ve picked some of the best, family-friendly beaches to visit whilst you’re here in Ibiza.
Cala Bassa
Situated just a short drive (or bus) ride away from San Antonio Bay, is the beautiful beach of Cala Bassa. Its shallow natural rock-pools are popular with the little ones, who can safely splash around whilst you relax nearby. It’s great for building sandcastles, and maybe trying some snorkelling in the clear waters too. There’s also nearby bars if you fancy a drink to cool down.

Portinatx
Right in the north of the island (Sant Joan de Labritja) is a picturesque, large beach which is popular with visiting families from all over the world. Portinatx is a beautiful area, with lots of things to do. It can be a bit of a trek travelling there by bus so we highly recommend hiring a car for the day. That way you get to see some other fantastic parts of this magnificent rock whilst you are here. This beach offers a range of water sports, plus the all-time family favourite pedal boats. A great day out for all.

Playa Pinet
Just a short stroll from us here at Relish is a lovely little beach called Playa Pinet. A long stretch of sand with clear waters, and views over towards San Antonio. This beach has a whole selection of water sports available, which are child-friendly and fun for all the family. There’s also a great vibe for adults, with music during the day coming from the various nearby beach bars. A good place to chill before planning your evening ahead, wherever you decide to go.

Cala Vadella
Just a 20 minute drive from ‘The Bay’ you’ll find the idyllic Cala Vadella beach. Surrounded by forest and hillside, this beach is perfect for a relaxing day in the summer sun. The little ones can make friends and splash about in the turquoise sea, whilst you lay back on a sun-lounger in peace. It’s a very attractive spot, one which you’ll be perfectly happy spending the whole day at. Why not try a go at paddle boarding, or have a swim in the sea? Even better, why not pack some fruit and feed the fish? The kids will love it when they all come up to play with them!

Port d’Es Torrent
Just a ten minute walk away from us is the charming Port d’Es Torrent beach, which provides a stunning backdrop for sunset. With a white sandy beach and pedal boats, the kids will be entertained throughout the afternoon here. If you’re the adventurous type then you can also book a boat trip with Seahorse Diving School, and also delve beneath the deep and explore the Balearics natural marine life. A fantastic adventure for all the family to enjoy.
Port d’Es Torrent
This is just a few of over 80 beaches here on the island, but these are our favourite, and perfect for the whole family.
